Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will:
Check and approve vouchers for payment.
Prepare invoice deduction notices as necessary.
Answer vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Manage lien waivers and notice to owners.
Process subcontractor pay applications and handle certificates of insurance.
Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended payment terms when cash is restricted.
Prepare and issue accounts payable checks.
Print and file all accounts payable reports and maintain related files.
Conducted account analyses and assisted with monthly closings.
Support the accounts receivable process and take on special projects as assigned.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Construction industry experience (required).
2-3 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in an Accounts Payable Clerk role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
