Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Junior Accountant
to join our client, a leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. In this role, you will support daily financial operations, assist in maintaining accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Maintenance:
Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
Expense and Budget Management:
Assist in monitoring expenses and budget variances.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Compliance and Audits:
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Inventory and Cost Accounting:
Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams to track product costs.
Reconcile inventory accounts and prepare cost variance reports.
General Support:
Assist senior accountants with month-end and year-end close processes.
Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
0-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or a similar fast-moving industry.
Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) is a plus.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
