to join their expanding finance division. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting and Finance, the

Accounting Manager

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager As an

Accounting Manager , you will:

Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.

Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant.

Develop and monitor internal controls, maintaining the chart of accounts, fixed asset inventory, and depreciation schedules.

Create and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasting models.

Review journal entries for accurate monthly and year-end financial statements.

Present financial reports to senior management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.

Ensure proper revenue recognition for both contributions and earned revenue.

Support balance sheet accounts, including cash, receivables, fixed assets, and deferred revenue.

Prepare schedules for annual audits and IRS Form 990, including the statement of financial position.

Handle tax payments and filings, including sales tax, ensuring compliance and timeliness.

Collaborate with departmental staff to maintain precise financial data.

Analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Carry out other assigned duties that support financial operations.

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager The ideal

Accounting Manager

will have:

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.

At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.

In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.

Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and tax laws (a plus).

A collaborative, practical approach to working with all levels of the organization.
