This role focuses on processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments, compliance with labor laws, and managing payroll-related inquiries. The ideal Payroll Specialist is detail-oriented, efficient, and enjoys providing reliable payroll support in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
$50,000-$65,000/year plus performance-based bonuses. Location:
Berlin, CT (On-site).

Key Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Maintain payroll records, including tracking of hours, deductions, and benefits for all employees.
Review and verify timesheets, including resolving any discrepancies with department supervisors.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation, audits, and reporting.
Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to update employee records, benefits information, and other payroll-related data.
Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and timekeeping policies in a timely and professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist.
Excellent communication skills for working with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
