Responsible for collecting money on-time, with the key metric being past due amount as a % of total A/R.
Prepare weekly update of collection effort with controller and director of finance, bringing visibility to successes and roadblocks.
Generate ideas on how to overcome roadblocks, including the creation of new processes.
Provide incoming cash forecast weekly to support treasury management.
Become proficient in navigating customer portals to support above efforts.
Clearly communicate with inside and outside customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) along with a high degree computer literacy.
Work with sales to create new customers in our ERP system & Salesforce
Actively monitor credit holds and look for improvements within the process.
Monitor the A/R email box, responding to customers' needs.
Month-end close responsibilities including ownership of aging, AR balance sheet reconciliations and accruals as needed.
Requirements for AR Accountant:
Education: preferred 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
At least 2 years progressive A/R, collections experience in a high volume environment
Salary range $60,000 - $65,000 + excellent benefits
