Cost Accountant

Compensation:
$65,000 - $110,000/year, with growth potential and performance bonuses - dependent on experience Location:
Avon, CT (Hybrid work options available after training).

What You'll Do:
Learn and maintain cost accounting systems, helping to track and analyze expenses across projects or products.
Review inventory, production, and expense reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist in calculating and monitoring material, labor, and overhead costs.
Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities by preparing cost reports and reconciliations.
Work closely with operations and finance teams to build processes that make tracking and controlling costs easier.
Contribute to reports that help leaders make smarter business decisions and optimize operations.
What We're Looking For:
Some exposure to accounting (whether through coursework, internships, or work experience)-we're happy to train!
A passion for learning about manufacturing, cost processes, or inventory management.
Intermediate Excel skills-if you love building spreadsheets, that's a big plus!
Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.
Willingness to work collaboratively and take on challenges.
Extra Skills That Wow Us (But Aren't Required):
Experience with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
