Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Implements, upgrades and repairs the Association's software and endpoints including personal computers, peripherals, virtual desktops and other end user technology. Responsible for maintaining standardization on endpoint devices. Implements and maintains security as it relates to end-user systems and applications. Jointly responsible for upgrades and outage notifications to all users. Develops procedures, standards, and guidelines. Serves as a technical resource and technical liaison for outside consultants and contractors as necessary. Trains users and peers on systems. Creates and maintains accurate documentation.
Assists Systems/Security Engineer and works with the Managed Security Service Provider as needed.
Responsible for maintaining user-level back-ups and restores including user data and personal computer images to ensure disaster recovery and business continuity. Ensures data is current, accessible and restorable. Jointly responsible for off-line removable back-up drive rotation. Works closely with Systems/Security Engineer and consultants to assure consistency.
Responsible for assisting the Systems/Security Engineer with ongoing testing and revision of the IT disaster recovery plan for the Association's information system infrastructure. Ensures the organization can recover from a disaster in an allotted time frame. Jointly responsible for executing the plan during a declared disaster.
Recommends vendor products in hardware, software, and emerging technologies and may recommend solutions consistent with the Association's short- and long-term objectives.
Responsible for software and hardware inventory. Jointly responsible for software licensing.
Participates in cross-training for all systems.
Works with Systems/Security Engineer and consultants on various projects and trainings as assigned.
Responsible for working with Dev/Ops to minimize system down time.
Maintains confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
Keeps abreast of the IT trends through literature, trade journals, membership in professional societies, etc.
Assist staff to ensure the timely delivery of materials and business objectives.
Works toward overall Association goals to fulfill its mission.
Provides customer service according to standards.
Adheres to policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as needed to drive to the vision and fulfill the mission and abide by the values of the organization.
Key Skills
Knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, and terminologies of information technology and computer support.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute work in an orderly and efficient manner.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to communicate both written and verbally with others.
Experience working in a computer support role with proven customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution or a minimum of eight years of relevant equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years of administration experience in an Information Technology environment.
Microsoft Azure Cloud Experience.
Teams / Share Point Administration.
Windows based applications and peripherals experience.
Must have a current driver's license and valid insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft DevOps Experience
Microsoft Auto Pilot/Intune Experience
Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE), and or Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) certification or equivalent
Microsoft Windows Server 2022 experience
Veeam Back Up and Replication and Veritas DLO backup software experience preferred.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central experience
