Our client is a non-profit global health organization located in Washington, DC looking to hire an Accounting Manager to start immediately.
This position starts in a
contract
and for the right candidate can become a permanent role.

hybrid!

Overview of the Accounting Manager role:
Responsible for all aspects of global accounting systems and accounting processes, including month-end close, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and internal controls and integrity, suitability, accuracy, and timeliness of internal information systems
Manage accounts payable cycle, process, and staff. Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
Manage accounts receivable, cash receipts and revenue. Prepare billing invoices and collections.
Assist in all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including journal entry review/posting, balance sheet reconciliations and expense allocation, etc.
Perform and complete special projects and other duties as assigned by Controller and/or CFO.
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience
Supervisory experience is a plus
Proficient in Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
