Position Overview:
A Fortune 100 company in the Greater Orlando area is seeking an experienced Income Tax Analyst to join their dynamic tax department in a hybrid role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional with 2-3 years of experience preparing federal and state income tax returns to grow within a top-ranked organization. The Income Tax Analyst will play a key role in preparing tax filings, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Federal & State Tax Filings:
Prepare supporting workpapers and calculations for federal and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provision & Reconciliation:
Manage current and deferred tax input schedules, with a focus on reconciling the income tax provision of filed tax returns.
Quarterly Reserves:
Compile and maintain quarterly tax reserve schedules, ensuring compliance with SOX 404 and ASC 740-10.
Audit Support:
Assist in federal and state tax audits, working closely with the Income Tax Manager to negotiate audit issues with tax authorities.
Compliance Monitoring:
Review foundation grants quarterly to maintain compliance with requirements for the company's tax-exempt status.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in preparing federal and state income tax returns, ideally in public accounting or corporate tax.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with SOX 404 and ASC 740-10 is preferred.
Attributes:
Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range:
$70,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
