Overview of the Collections Specialist:
Monitor accounts for past due amounts and communicate with customers to request payment on delinquent accounts.
Investigate and resolve disputes related to invoices, including researching historical data.
Maintain logs of payment promises and account details, scheduling follow-ups with account holders.
Process payments and customer credits, while communicating delinquent account statuses to management.
Qualifications of the Collections Specialist:
5-7 years of relevant experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role, with knowledge of B2B billing and collections procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage demanding situations calmly.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel, with strong analytical and research abilities.
Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a flexible attitude towards changing priorities and tight deadlines.
