Our client:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineering Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives and drive continuous improvement across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, along with practical experience using tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, the 5 Why technique, Process Capability Index, and Statistical Process Control. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate a team while ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

Oversee and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.

Lean Six Sigma Implementation:

Lead the implementation of Lean Six Sigma principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.

Root Cause Analysis:

Utilize Fishbone Diagrams and the 5 Why technique to effectively identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Statistical Process Control:

Develop and apply Statistical Process Control methods to monitor process performance and ensure product quality.

Process Capability Analysis:

Analyze and report on process capability using the Process Capability Index (Cp, Cpk) to ensure products meet customer specifications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality standards and improve product reliability.

Training and Development:

Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on quality tools and methodologies.

Quality Metrics Reporting:

Develop and maintain key quality performance metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies; certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is highly desirable.

Proficiency in root cause analysis tools, including Fishbone Diagrams and the 5 Why technique.

Experience with Process Capability Index calculations and Statistical Process Control techniques.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
