POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ecommerce Digital Retoucher creates, designs and assists the creative department with ecommerce photography retouching and maintains the integrity of predetermined photo style and brand essence. This role is responsible for image enhancement by correcting resolution and composition, cropping images and adjusts tone, color, saturation and brightness. Assists in the asset management of all brand imagery on the server. May assist in estimating retouching costs, overseeing work done by external suppliers, and preparing proofs for review. This position works with teams throughout the organization as well as external agencies to ensure the customer experience and promotional execution is consistent with our brand standards.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Enhances the quality and consistency of digital images to be used for brand marketing. Takes images from un-retouched files to clean and crisp final images. Retouch images in accordance with established style guides. Review retouching work for quality and accuracy. Ensure visual consistency of product images within projects, and across brand.
- Manage workflow of assets from capture, retouching, to delivery of files to Digital Asset Management tool. Facilitate revisions, re-shoot needs and redeliveries. Proactively identify, communicate and solve any issues occurring throughout the production process.
- Responsible for creating prints and/or proofs of images for presentations to design teams and upper management. Practices quality control on all requests, fixing images as needed to meet direction or needs. Responsible for retouching of images in the timeframes requested for each project. Handles multiple projects and/or specific departmental needs simultaneously.
- Meets timeline requirements for all projects, adhering to style guides and maintaining schedule milestones to support cost-sensitive production.
- Researches and develops unique retouching processes.
- Limited video editing and reformatting required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Photography, Digital Illustration, Graphic Design or other discipline emphasizing photographic storytelling and multimedia creation is required or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum of ten years of experience as a retoucher and/or digital image specialist.
- Proficient with Adobe Suite (Bridge, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and Dreamweaver) software.
- Experience retouching jewelry/macro photography a plus.
- Outstanding design sense combined with a high level of skill, speed, and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to perceive color and discern between colors.
- Proficient in retouching techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
- Strong prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong, professional and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
- Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
