Position Summary:
MarComm collaborates with various on-campus departments and external partners to produce marketing messaging and materials that align with the Ensign College brand and values. This role involves providing professional videography and photography for each devotional and creating content used to promote Ensign College, while working under tight deadlines.
While each employee on the MarComm team has specific responsibilities, we also work as a team as needed to execute larger projects. This means you may be asked to do things outside your job description, such as hang posters, carry equipment, or assist with events.
Student Employees can work part-time on campus according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. Hours: 19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Specific Summary of Duties:
[25%] Record video of the weekly Ensign College Devotional
- Record, edit, and upload video and audio content to our platforms including YouTube, Spotify podcasts, and Apple podcasts
- Take & edit photos of the event, providing quick turnaround
- Must be available to work Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Conduct regular "stock" photoshoots to build a library of high-quality images
- Capture campus events to showcase student life, including Commencement and other high-profile events
- Provide photos for departments & social media
- Understand composition, lighting, editing, and the Ensign College brand
[25%] Record & Edit videos
- Record interviews & student profiles for external marketing campaigns
- Edit raw video into compilation or single profiles
[10%] Organization
- Maintain a well-organized Dropbox repository with consistent naming conventions and tags to ensure easy access and retrieval of files.
- Maintain photo sharing platform
- Manage and track tasks and time in Asana (our project management system)
- Must be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing Demonstrated experience in photography, including lighting, composition, and editing.
- Demonstrated use of photo editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom.
- Demonstrated proficiency in video recording and editing, and software, such as Adobe Premier or DaVinci Resolve.
- Must have excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Must be highly self-motivated, hardworking, with great attention to detail.
- Must show a willingness to learn.
- Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed
