SpektrBot is an AI-backed chat assistant for Amazon Ads designed to help business quickly access and analyze advertising data without needing technical skills or extensive support. It simplifies the process of retrieving business insights by allowing users to ask questions in natural language, enabling them to gain answers about ad performance, revenue, and other key metrics efficiently. By streamlining data exploration, SpektrBot enhances decision-making for various teams, such as Finance, Product Management, and Sales, reducing the time spent searching through reports and dashboards.

As a Software Engineer at SpektrBot, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-backed chat assistant designed to streamline access to Ads data and insights for business users. You will drive innovation and facilitate the adoption of cutting-edge Generative AI technologies within the advertising space.

Key job responsibilities

- Drive the technical direction of SpektrBot by designing and implementing robust software solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies.

- Take ownership of execution, ensuring quality and performance meet our high standards while delivering impactful business insights.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Sales Managers to dissamgiguate business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

- Experiment and innovate within a highly motivated team environment, contributing to the continuous enhancement of our self-service tools and products.

- Mentor junior engineers in full software development life cycle activities including coding, troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing

- Strong understanding of data systems and analytics.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
