Position Summary:
The Broadcast/Media Intern will assist with live game broadcasts, media production, and other content creation for River Light FC. This position provides hands-on experience in sports broadcasting, video production, and media operations, offering exposure to both behind-the-scenes production and on-air opportunities. The intern will play an active role in the broadcast of home games, interviews, and media content for digital platforms.

Position Summary:

The intern will play an active role in the broadcast of home games, interviews, and media content for digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Game Day Broadcasting Support: Assist with the setup and execution of live broadcasts, including camera operations, managing audio and video feeds, and assisting the broadcast team with any in-game needs.
- Content Creation: Help produce video content for the team's social media, website, and other digital platforms. This may include player interviews, post-game analysis, highlights, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Pre-Game and Post-Game Responsibilities: Assist in pre-game setup for broadcasts, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly, and support post-game teardown. Help gather and compile highlights, stats, and other media for recaps and analysis.
- Technical Operations: Support the broadcast team by troubleshooting technical issues that may arise during live streams, working with video production equipment, and helping manage live stream platforms.
- Media Coverage: Assist with the coverage of press conferences, team practices, and media days. Capture and edit footage for news updates or promotional use.
- Graphics & On-Screen Elements: Help develop and display graphics and other on-screen elements during broadcasts, such as score overlays, player stats, and sponsorship placements.
- Social Media Video Support: Collaborate with the social media team to provide real-time video clips and highlights for posting during games or after events.
- Interviews & Reporting: Assist in conducting post-game interviews with players and coaches, transcribe quotes, and create content for media stories or press releases.
- Highlight Reel Compilation: Help compile and edit highlight reels for use in broadcasts, team promotions, or marketing purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and communications departments to ensure broadcast content aligns with the team's overall messaging and brand.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Broadcasting, Media Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with video production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and broadcast equipment (e.g., cameras, switchers, microphones).
- Strong understanding of live sports production, including timing, camera angles, and storytelling through video.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during live events.
- Passion for sports, particularly soccer, with a desire to pursue a career in sports media.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the game schedule.
- Experience with motion graphics or live streaming software (e.g., OBS, Wirecast) is a plus but not required.
- Hands-on experience in live sports broadcasting and media production for a professional soccer team.
