Responsibilities:The Digital Content Specialist supports the development and deployment of inbound digital marketingcontent and activities. This role is responsible for defining and delivering a content strategy, including content planning, development, implementation, tracking and adjustment. The goal is to optimize content to be found on the BNI website and/or other digital media, such as blogs, social media posts, videos, webinars, white papers, press releases, infographics and other communications. Meets with and cultivates formal and informant relationship with research and clinical staff. Creates a relationship of trust whereby they voluntarily bring you useful information to use in web content creation. Conducts monthly interviews and fact finding missions on basic science research laboratories, writing 500-1,000 word features for digital marketing use. Conducts biweekly get to know interviews with attending physicians, residents, and nurses to promote our staff and expand our digital footprint. Digital Content Development and Optimization Updates disease information content on a rotating basis. Solicit the input of our specialists to ensure copy stays relevant and accurate.
Qualifications:
Minimum Required
At least two years of experience writing for a publication such as a student or other newspaper, magazine, newsletter, or journal required.
Preferred: Biosciences background, science and technology journalism experience. Inbound marketing experience, including content development, optimization and delivery.
Digital content delivery (e.g. website content such as blogs, social media posts, white papers, press releases, infographics and other communications).
Education
Minimum BA or BS in journalism, strategic communication, or a similar field; or equivalent experience required.
Basic computer skills, familiarity with mainstream social media; Google+.
Exhibits written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Training
AP Style or comparable required.
