Job Title: Sr. Manager, Creative Sync
A little bit about our team:
The Visual Media Licensing department represents recorded music sync rights and offers clients a comprehensive sync licensing service in the US as part of a global sync organization. The team works to serve Warner Music Group's extensive catalog as well as the company's frontline recorded music labels and their global partners by strategically developing new opportunities in film, TV, advertising, video games, and new media.
Your role:
You will work with clients to secure WMG sound recordings in film, TV, trailers, and promos in order to bring in licensing revenue and promote artists to the benefit of the overall company, including other marketing opportunities related to sync. This role will work and coordinate with the clearance team as well as all Frontline Labels, International Affiliates, and WMG’s vast catalog.
Here you’ll get to:
Proactively pitch and respond to specific briefs from Music Supervisors with the goal of placing songs from artists and labels within WMG in film, TV, trailers, and promos.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with music supervisors, television/film music executives, and studios.
Coordinate and confer with WMG artist and label partners, along with Company’s internal departments, to secure song assets and information such as co-publishers, copyright owners, composers, their managers and/or attorneys, regarding clearance, ownership, and financial procedures and fees.
Perform research of the Company’s rights and clear copyright provisions.
Make suggestions for use of alternate songs in the Company’s catalog when clearance is not available for the original request.
Work with business & legal affairs, finance, and WMG Sync to make sure every license goes through and is accounted for.
Develop and implement innovative programs and strategies to increase awareness of our artists and songs in different entertainment mediums, including maintaining sync focused playlisting.
Work with artist managers and publishers to ensure placement opportunities.
About you:
Possess wide knowledge of popular music, both catalog and frontline.
Experience pitching to Film & TV with a focus on Promos & Trailers.
Strong understanding of rights and fees for various media.
Familiar with current trends in Film, TV, and other media.
Experience both pitching and pricing.
Pre-established positive relationships with Music Supervisors and Music Coordinators.
Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities and styles.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment, leaning on strong multitasking skills, excellent time management, and high attention to detail.
Self-starter who can identify gaps and create opportunities.
Able to work independently as well as within a team.
We’d love it if you also had:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of six (6) years of relevant creative sync pitching experience.
Experience working in Clearance.
Knowledge in Google Workspace, Box, & Disco.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
