Responsibilities:THE ROLE:
As part of the AMD Server Performance Group, youll be focused on improving the performance of Cloud Native and Datacenter workloads while working with the largest customers in the cloud computing industry. This team works closely with the silicon design teams to influence next generation AMD EPYC products.

THE PERSON:
You will possess experience in the performance analysis of the hardware microarchitecture and software stack as well as performance model development.
As a senior member of the technical team, youll be leading projects that are critical to AMDs server business segment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with AMD partners to resolve performance issues and optimize performance on real-world applications on AMD products.
- Responsible for exploring opportunities to improve server performance through hardware & software co-optimization.
- Work closely with other team members to understand microarchitecture design and to propose solutions to improve/enhance performance with given SoC/IP and markets.
- Characterization, tracing, and modelling of real-world workloads to drive improvements in next generation high performance server SoCs.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Background in Performance Analysis and/or Performance Modelling.
- Strong background in micro-architecture analysis and Computer Architecture.
- Knowledge of SoC architecture including CPU/Cache, interconnect, memory, and I/O subsystems
- Expertise with performance analysis techniques using performance monitoring tools such as Linux PERF or eBPF
- Familiarity with performance intensive server workloads and cloud services
- Expertise with Linux or Windows system software, libraries, cloud application stacks, and compiler optimizations a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer engineering/electrical engineering preferred.
