Description
Accord Carton is searching for a talented and motivated CAD designer to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a key role in the product development process, using your CAD skills to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models for a variety of products.

Responsibilities
- Design and build physical product samples based on customer request and specifications provided by sales representatives.
- Organize customer-requested product structures into preferred formats for efficient production.
- Utilize CAD software to design structures, die layouts, product dimensions, and various styles.
- Manage the ordering and acquisition of dies and tooling needed for manufacturing.
- Oversee the creation of steel counters and related components.
- Provide timely quotes to the Plant Estimator for accurate order pricing.
- Collaborate effectively with customers and department managers to ensure project alignment.
- Generate layout data for the laser die maker to produce production die boards.
- Maintain and organize product structure files for easy access and reference.
- Implement a system to ensure all design changes are properly approved and documented.
- Maintain and service CAD equipment and computers to ensure optimal performance.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CAD Designer or in a related field.
- Proven proficiency in CAD software (SoldWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for manufacturing and a strong understanding of manufacturing process (a plus).
