Job Title: BIM Designer
Job Description
This is an 8-week contract position located downtown Chicago (The Loop). The project requires on-site presence for the entirety of the project. The project involves a 5-story build-out, requiring electrical modeling of lighting and conduits for cubicle walls, lighting fixtures, meeting rooms, and access points. The individual will be expected to communicate and coordinate with Project Managers on site.
Responsibilities
This position supports a tenant build-out project and requires on-site presence. The company provides a wide range of commercial electrical construction, maintenance, repair, and retrofit services within the Chicago metropolitan area. The BIM team consists of five people. The company has extensive experience in commercial, light industrial, data center, hospital, and high-rise projects, and data centers.

Job Description

- Perform electrical modeling of lighting and conduits for cubicle walls, lighting fixtures, meeting rooms, and access points.
- Communicate and coordinate with Project Managers on site.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of BIM designs.
- Work independently to meet project deadlines.
- Experience in electrical system design.
- Experience modeling electrical systems
- 1-10 years of applicable experience (Electrical BIM Design)
- Experience working at an electrical construction company.
- Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant software.
- Proficiency in BIM.
