This position is based out of our corporate office in Greenville, SC. The Senior Men's Designer executes the seasonal design development process for the assigned line or category, from concept to delivery, by creating and executing original, trend-appropriate design concepts that meet market needs and drive sales and ensures the timely execution of each stage in the process. Crew Position: Collaborate and partner with the Design Director to create a line/category that is on trend, sellable and has the Southern Tide brand integrity. Research trends and apply to the Southern Tide brand during the design process. Manage the design process from initial sketch to production. Ensure top quality in all category products. Work closely with the design team and Design Director to ensure calendar deadlines are met. Act as team lead for assigned staff, delegate appropriate tasks/projects, monitor/measure progress, and provide coaching/training. Partner and collaborate with Sourcing team to ensure cost-effective use of materials, trims, etc., used in both categories. Partner with product development and tech design teams so production delays are solved as quickly as possible and are kept to a minimum. Collaborate with product development team to ensure accurate information is communicated to vendors for sourcing. Partner with Marketing, Sales, etc. to ensure all products are on time for sales meetings, photo shoots and in-store deliveries. Run and manage fit sessions with product development and tech design teams. Present the line during sales meetings and to all employees. Run and manage fabric selections and print reviews during seasonal meetings. Assume accountability for calendar management and timely delivery vs. deadlines. Work with Design Director to create seasonal concepts, color selections, key patterns, key fabrications and seasonal ideas. You will love this job if you... Generally, 6+ years of proven fashion design experience, preferably with the men's category. Expertise with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of CAD and PLM software. Strong sketching and design capability. Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, construction techniques, fit, and trim. Strong fashion sense and the critical ability to identify and interpret trends and translate to commercial success. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
