Where would you step in?
As a valuable member of our Water team, you will support project managers and engineers on the development of vertical projects, primarily consisting of wastewater and water treatment facilities and pumping stations. You will report to the Westwood, Massachusetts office. However, we are open to you working in the Tighe & Bond office closest to your home on a hybrid basis with summer Fridays.
Our Wastewater Team and Projects
Nearly 100 professional engineers strong and recent recipients of multiple ACEC Engineering Excellence and ASCE Project Awards, our senior technical and project management leaders have earned an outstanding reputation with private, state, and local government clients. We provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the new construction, rehabilitation, and upgrading of water and wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. We also provide design and construction phase services for municipal infrastructure systems (sewer, water, storm drains, and roads), buildings (maintenance facilities, offices, and schools), dams and spillways, and bridges.
What will you be doing?
You will participate in the design and drafting of project drawings including plans, sections, elevations, process instrumentation diagrams, renderings, and typical details. You will provide design drafting to our project team for the development of wastewater and water treatment process piping, structural features (walls, foundations, ceilings, and roofs), mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. You will be consulted to provide insight into the selection of equipment and constructability issues. You will also provide guidance for drafting standards and procedures, as well as mentor junior design/drafters and engineers.
What do you need?
You will need 5-7 years of experience supporting project managers and engineers. You should have specific experience in the development of wastewater and water treatment, pumping stations, chemical feed, HVAC / plumbing, and electrical systems.You should have a proficiency working in Revit and AutoCAD. You should have a diploma or certificate in civil technology or the equivalent of practical training. You should have a broad understanding of engineering drawings.
