The Solar PV Systems Designer will be responsible for the selection, orientation, configuration, and design of photovoltaic systems. Ideal candidates will bring a strong experience in PV design and performance optimization, with additional expertise in battery systems integration being a significant plus.

Job Description
The Solar PV Systems Designer will be responsible for the selection, orientation, configuration, and design of photovoltaic systems. Ideal candidates will bring a strong experience in PV design and performance optimization, with additional expertise in battery systems integration being a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform system design for PV installations, including PV panel selection, orientation, racking, and configuration.
- Conduct performance assessments and optimize system layouts for maximum efficiency.
- Perform DC voltage drop and battery sizing calculations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Support electrical design work to connect PV systems to the electrical grid, if applicable.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate battery storage solutions into PV systems as needed.
- Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in solar and battery technology.
- Provide technical support and consultation during project development and implementation phases.
- 6-10 years of experience in PV system design, preferably with experience at a PV manufacturer or distributor.
- Expertise in PV system configuration, panel orientation, racking, and selection.
- Proficiency in DC voltage drop and battery calculations.
- Experience with battery storage systems integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate with distributed teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with grid-tied PV system design is desirable but not required.
