Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This position will create awareness of and promote the amenities offered by Auxiliary Services, including Dining Services, Transportation and Parking Services, the UGA Golf Course, and the UGA Bookstore. The position will receive its primary guidance and direction from the Marketing Manager, Marketing Director, and other members of the Auxiliary Services leadership team.   • Works with the Marketing Director, Marketing Manager, and Auxiliary Services leadership to plan special events.
  • Organize special events by coordinating details and carrying out administrative functions to execute events.
  • Plan, recruit, lead, and manage the Summer Ambassador Team for Auxiliary Services' Orientation efforts.
  • Plans and implements promotional events such as Spring and Summer meal plan sales, resource fairs, Watch for Dawgs safety events, and new student orientation sessions.
  • Seeks to create new opportunities on campus to represent Auxiliary Services through pop-up and tabling events.
  • Responsible for inventory of merchandise and marketing collateral and supporting operating unit's needs for tabling materials.
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities
  • Works with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to ideate and develop creative marketing campaigns and strategies to support Auxiliary Services operational units in achieving their goals to support the University of Georgia community. Plan and execute initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels including social media, website, print media, and e-mail. Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts. Assist in analyzing marketing data including campaign results, conversion rates, and web traffic to help shape future marketing strategies.
  • Advertises Auxiliary Ambassador program, interviews, and hires students. Work with Auxiliary Leadership to manage Ambassador team. Prepares schedules and responsibilities for Ambassadors. Supervises Ambassador students to perform work duties and maintain customer service levels.
Percentage of time 35 Duties/Responsibilities
  • Keep up to date with the latest marketing trends, consumer behaviors, and emerging technologies by conducting market research, and working closely with other marketing and communications experts.
  • Coordinate and implement focus groups with appropriate campus audiences to collect research for all Auxiliary units. Prepare findings and recommendations from focus groups for leadership.
