Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Location: Fully remote position based in the US, ideally based in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area.

Summary:

Drug Hunter is a B2B subscription knowledge base for biotech/pharma R&D scientists that empowers them discover the medicines of the future. We serve most of the top global biotech & pharma companies including Dow 30 and S&P500 companies.

Our team is seeking a resourceful Digital Marketing Specialist to partner with our internal subject matter expert PhD scientists to continue Drug Hunter's rapid expansion by executing on digital growth marketing and product marketing efforts over channels with an emphasis on e-mail, LinkedIn and social media, search, website, webinars and YouTube recordings, live events, and outbound. Marketing automation requirements include e-mail marketing, automated nurturing programs, and sales pipeline automation.

A scientific background or background in the pharmaceutical industry is not required, but can be helpful. Expert marketing skills are more important for this role, including extensive experience with Hubspot.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Digital Marketing
    • Create and maintain regular e-mail newsletters to customers, prospects, and event attendees, partnering with internal scientists on needed content
    • Create and maintain paid and organic social media campaigns on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram/Facebook, partnering with internal scientists on needed content
    • Create and maintain web content including landing pages on drughunter.com, partnering with internal scientists and engineers on content and development
    • Maintain online webinar series, YouTube channel, and video content derived from presentations and content made by internal scientists
    • Maintain paid search engine marketing and guide internal scientists and content creators on search engine optimization and keywords based on analysis
    • Report on marketing metrics across channels to leadership and the content team to guide commercial, product development and content efforts
  2. Product Marketing
    • Prepare sales & marketing assets and collateral in partnership with internal scientists and designer for content, messaging, and graphics
    • Create and maintain product marketing campaigns to announce & launch new features and drive usage of existing features
  3. Growth Marketing
    • Organize contact and account lists and data by segment and other properties identified to be important in driving conversion
    • Optimize conversion rates on various marketing tactics, including outbound messaging by sales team members
    • Develop and execute on marketing funnel, identifying key nodes for improvement and deploying changes and assessing improvements through A/B testing
    • Implement and manage processes to identify target accounts and route leads to sales

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, deep knowledge of digital marketing
  • 5+ years of hands-on working experience in relevant marketing functions, ideally in start-up organizations
  • Hands-on expert in Hubspot and LinkedIn
  • Excellent written communication skills and basic graphic design skills
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

Compensation:

Drug Hunter takes a market-based approach to pay. The candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, interview performance, and work location. For this role the base salary range is $60k-$85k. The company provides industry-leading total compensation including:
