Overview
The Email Marketing Manager will manage and execute email marketing campaigns from planning through delivery. This role will work with merchants, marketing teams, and content creators to optimize the email channel's performance, drive engagement, and support customer loyalty. The Email Marketing Manager reports directly to the Digital Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include scheduling and tracking results, while ensuring all teams are aligned and working towards common goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
•Maintain and manage the email calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns, product launches, sales, and promotional efforts
•Partner with merchants, creative teams, and marketing stakeholders to gather and prioritize content ideas
oLead planning meetings to discuss upcoming campaigns, content wish lists, and potential opportunities
•Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of email campaigns, ensuring that all emails are on-brand, error-free, and meet established deadlines
•Review email proofs ensuring content, links, and images are accurate
oText emails to ensure proper functionality across devices and browsers, catching any issues before launch
•Track email metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion) and collaborate with analytics teams to optimize campaigns, providing insights and feedback to improve future content and strategies
•Tracking and managing edits from internal and external design partners
•Utilize Braze tool to manage campaign setups, segmentation, and automation
•Monitor competitor email strategies and stay updated on the latest email marketing trends and best practices to keep our campaigns competitive and effective
•Stay updated on email marketing best practices and trends
oRecommend and implement tests to optimize engagement, such as A/B tests, dynamic content, and personalized journeys
Qualifications and Requirements
•3+ years of experience in Email marketing
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, CSS, and HTML
•Familiarity with email compliance and best practices (e.g., CAN-SPAM)
•Strong writing and proof-reading skills
•Excellent organization and analytical skills
•Experience with A/B testing and analyzing email performance data
•Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members
•Project management experience
•Hands-on technical and functional experience as a practitioner of tools and technologies such as Google Analytics, ESPs (Braze), Asana, and Adobe suite
•Ability to interpret documents

- Associate must be able to read and understand English
- Associate must be able to stay alert during work hours assigned
- Based in Tyler, TX at our home office; Tyler area residence
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred
- Experience in retail apparel or other branded consumer goods
- A preference for a fast-paced environment
- Strategic and analytical mindset, always looking to proactively improve processes and customer experience
