General Information Country/Region United States of America Province/City Hawaii Location Kona Village Resort, A Rosewood Resort Department Sales & Marketing Job Type Full-time Permanent Job Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Job Summary: Reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing supporting the marketing functions essential for the property’s online and offline success. The position will also work closely with the Corporate Digital Marketing team on all digital programs including website content, B2B partners and the development and deployment of digital marketing campaigns and social media campaigns that support the resort, spa and restaurants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities): Manage all website updates and content for the resort on rosewoodhotels.com, ensuring all information, promotions and photography are accurate at all times. Proactively manage digital marketing campaigns in conjunction with agencies across all channels including organic search, paid search, display, mobile and social. Participate in monthly calls to review results and set strategies for future months. Oversee third party website integration platforms, including those used for user-generated content, conversion optimization, booking engine and review sites. Manage hotel content on third party platforms including business listings (i.e. Google My Business, Bing, Yelp, TripAdvisor) as well as OTA’s. Ensure resort photography is up to date across all platforms and that it adheres to Rosewood’s visual identity standards. Prepare and execute strategic email campaigns to support the overall business goals of the resort. Execute tactical marketing to support resort promotions, including food and beverage and spa campaigns. Develop promotional material and collateral, including flyers and presentations for sales team. Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events. Contribute to the annual marketing plans and budget process. Review goals and action plan on a scheduled basis. Maintain expenses within the budgeted guidelines. Support Social Channels working with Director of Sales and Marketing on content development, photoshoots and postings. Work as a liaison supporting the property photo and video shoots. Act as the brand guardian across all communication platforms, ensuring the Rosewood Brand Book guidelines are adhered to at all times. Prepare and submit timely monthly reports to Director of Sales & Marketing. Recognize and include communication of market trends and competitive intelligence. Participate in scheduled sales and/or marketing meetings, training and other strategy related meetings as required. All other duties as required. Required Skills: Knowledge of the latest digital marketing landscape, including content, media, and website. Strong copywriting, grammar & editorial skills as it relates to copy for brochures, website, sales promotional material and resort promotions/advertising. Social media competency, basic postings and content development. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Business acumen with the ability to interpret and analyze data. Attention to detail and eye for design. Strong computer and technical skills. Ability to establish, monitor and achieve goals. Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Prioritize, organize and follow-up on all actions. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly and can work with minimal supervision. Understand guest service needs. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Maintain confidentiality of guest and client information and pertinent hotel data. Experience using website content management systems (Sitecore experience preferred). Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with analytics tools including Google Analytics. Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite in addition to basic HTML experience or familiarity. Qualifications: Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related. Significant communications experience that includes a blend of strategy and media relations. Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred. Experience: Three to five years of marketing experience with a luxury/hospitality brand or an agency. Hospitality industry experience helpful.
