Specialist, Integrated Marketing Qualifications:
- Four-year college or university in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience is required and experience and/or interest in the automotive and mobility industry is preferred.
- Willing to take risks and think outside of the box.
- Ability to understand, create, and execute integrated marketing and communication plans is critical to this role.
- Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to write creatively and effectively with good knowledge of AP style is required.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, flexible, deadline-driven environment is critical to the success of this position.
- Experience working with a web content management system, WordPress is a plus, mass e-mail program and collaborating with a design team is also critical to the position's success.
Specialist, Integrated Marketing Responsibilities:
- Provide marketing plan development and execution of tactics to position MichAuto as the industry go-to for automotive data and insights and ensure program participation and revenue goals are met for MichAuto initiatives and events.
- Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure MichAuto is pushing out timely marketing and communications. Includes identifying and assessing thought-leadership and sponsorship opportunities for MichAuto to share its expertise throughout Michigan.
- Lead brainstorm sessions to develop plans with the other members of the Creative Advisory Team and be responsible for project management and execution of tactics related to message development e-communication, social media, direct/traditional marketing efforts.
- Plans will need to work within the constraints of an available budget and internal assets available to support. Individual is encouraged to stay abreast of marketing trends and develop new creative and unique ways to market these programs.
- Plans must be tailored to the target audience for each program including audience development, messaging and tactics.
- Reporting on success of various tactics used in plans is required in a timely, formal way so the Creative Advisory Team can glean best practices and work to learn from marketing successes and opportunities to integrate change.
- All marketing and communication efforts must work within the Chamber's Styles and Standards.
WORK SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT FOR A SPECIALIST, INTEGRATED MARKETING
This position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. As you support Chamber events, you will travel throughout Southeastern Michigan. The Chamber is hybrid working environment and typically is in-person in downtown Detroit Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with work from home flexibility Monday and Friday.
