Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our Team!

*Please note this position is fully on-site, in Onamia MN.

Summary

Actively participates in responsibilities of Marketing team at Mille Lacs Health System (MLHS) and its services. Works closely with organizations and businesses in the regional community. Promotes MLHS through project work, internal and external events. Creates content for marketing projects.


Job Duties

  • Assists Marketing Manager in assigned aspects of marketing project work. *
  • Writes articles and does work within the Health System service lines to help promote what MLHS does and who we are. Is able to put together, edit, and proof Insight newsletter independently.
  • Covers all internal events (and external as needed); includes writing articles about event and taking appropriate photos. *
  • Develops relationships with departments and fill needs such as ordering giveaways, event materials, brochure racks, and other marketing support tools. *
  • Independently creates content for broadcasting of information to post across multiple platforms such as social media, MLHS website, and printed brochures and other media. *
  • Stays current with social media trends, issues, and opportunities. *
  • Helps to plan and execute health-related community event(s) each year. *
  • Supports Marketing team to align brand strategy voice. *
  • Supports new projects by assisting with all aspects of communication re: the project, as well as assisting with fundraising events, through completion.*
  • Assists with ordering and inventory management for logo wear clothing, giveaway items, and more.*

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Must be competent with Word, Publisher, and Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related area preferred.
  • Graphics Design and Photoshop skills preferred.
  • Photography and videography skills a plus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Monday through Friday. Some evening or weekend hours may be required as Marketing event(s) dictate.
