Job Description

Objective

At DICA, the Marketing Operations Manager is instrumental in bringing our brand to life through effective event support and marketing coordination. This role covers all aspects of event planning, from logistics to promotion, ensuring smooth execution at corporate and trade shows. The Manager coordinates timelines, tracks budgets, and manages data, keeping the focus on lead generation and brand consistency. They serve as the main point of contact for vendors, manage travel and accommodations, and oversee both the strategic and practical elements of event execution. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a hands-on approach to build strong, lasting partnerships and drive meaningful customer engagement.

 

Core Focus

The Marketing Operations Manager focuses on delivering seamless event experiences that align with DICA’s sales and marketing goals. This involves end-to-end event logistics, from venue selection to setup and teardown, as well as collaborating closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials and ensure brand consistency. Budget tracking and post-event data analysis help refine strategies and capture lead insights. A critical part of the role is managing vendor relationships, travel coordination, and broader campaign support, tying event success back into the larger marketing strategy. Ultimately, this position ensures that DICA’s events are executed flawlessly, driving leads and enhancing brand presence.

 

Principal Roles and Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Logistics: 
    • Coordinate all logistics for corporate and trade show events, including venue selection, vendor management, booth setup, and equipment/materials shipping. 
    • Assist in developing event timelines, floor plans, and schedules to ensure smooth event execution. 
    • Oversee on-site logistics such as staffing, registration, setup, and teardown. 
       
  • Communication & Promotion: 
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials for upcoming events, including email campaigns, social media posts, and print collateral. 
    • Ensure brand consistency across all event-related materials and communications. 
    • Act as the point of contact for vendors, exhibitors, and event partners to ensure clear communication and timely responses. 
       
  • Event Budget Tracking: 
    • Track and manage event budgets, working closely with the Sales & Marketing managers to ensure cost-effective execution. 
       
  • Data & Lead Management: 
    • Support capture and management of leads from events, ensuring proper follow-up by the sales team. 
    • Assist in post-event data analysis, preparing reports on event performance, lead generation, and ROI for the Sales & Marketing managers. 
       
  • Travel Coordination: 
    • Coordinate travel arrangements for team members attending events, including flights, hotels, and transportation. 
    • Manage travel expense reports, ensuring alignment with company policies. 
       
  • Vendor & Supplier Relations: 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with event vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of events. 
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the marketing team and third-party service providers for event-related needs. 
       
  • General Marketing Support: 
    • Assist the marketing team with general campaign support, content creation, and project management as needed. 

Contribute to broader marketing efforts by supporting digital, social, and content initiatives tied to events

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing coordination, event planning, or a related role. 
  • Experience managing logistics for corporate or trade show events is highly preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with project management software is a plus. 
  • Ability to travel as required for event support. 

 

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • On-site Position – Must reside in the Urbandale/Des Moines area (REQUIRED)
  • Valid driver’s license (REQUIRED)
  • Work is generally performed within a standard office environment
  • Work is generally sedentary, but may require activities such as standing or walking
  • Work may require lifting/moving up to 25 pounds
  • Work beyond normal business hours including nights or weekends may occur as business needs dictate
  • Occasional business travel may be required in this role

Additional Information

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Full-time
  • $60,000-80,000 annual salary - Based on experience
  • Hours 8:00 am-5:00 pm CST
  • 10 days per year Paid vacation, Increases each year
