The team at The Aspen Group (TAG) is looking for a Director, Social Media to lead strategy, content, execution and measurement for the dental brands (Aspen Dental, ClearChoice, Motto) in the TAG umbrella. We are looking for an experienced leader who can pivot in a fast paced environment, collaborate and influence cross-functionally, manage agencies and hone in on performance. This leader push the role of social forward as a key touchpoint in the customer journey to drive business results.
As part of the Social Media COE, this role will drive enterprise-level governance and process benefitting the portfolio of brands. The director will push boundaries and innovate constantly while continuously putting the customer/patient first.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of strategists, content creators, community managers and agencies to drive consideration and conversion for Aspen, Motto and ClearChoice.
- Commit to driving performance and fostering an engaged, collaborative, results and learning-driven culture.
- Support the Head of Social in enterprise level initiatives.
- Evolve the production, sourcing and editing of content for organic, paid and other channels.
- Lead influencer programs with agency partners and in-house.
- Grow the internal doctor ambassador program for Aspen and ClearChoice as a source for constant, timely content.
- Work with paid boost and analytics lead on best practices and alignment.
- Connect with brand teams/service line owners for marketing priorities and initiatives. Provide updates on social strategy and support.
- Guide community managers and content creators to meet brand standards.
- Help protect and nurture brand reputation.
- Continuously monitor and evolve channel strategy - TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
- Provide reporting and insights to marketing leaders, content creators and agency partners.
- Activate the broader COE, agencies and others to ideate, collaborate and execute best in class and future thinking programs.
- Optimize existing processes to improve alignment, communication and our speed-to-market.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of social media marketing experience or equivalent, preferably in a service, health or retail industry
- Strong leadership skills, ability to lead team and drive alignment across diverse functions and geographies
- Highly collaborative, can connect with marketing peers to drive creativity and execution of ideas
- Comfortable working with/presenting to senior level executives
- In depth knowledge of key and emerging social media platforms with solid understanding of platforms and standards
- Ability to convert data, listening reports and findings into clear and impactful strategies
- Knows how to build strong relationships across marketing functions (web, brand, creative) and with various collaborators across the organization (legal, clinical, doctors)
- Can prioritize multiple projects, and maintains a sense of calm in a storm
- Willing to travel to home office - Chicago (if remote) and across the US for shoots/events as needed
- BA or BS or equivalent experience in business, marketing or related field.
- Preferred: Knowledge of social tools like Sprout Social, Creator.co, Meta Business Manager
Salary: $145-185k with bonus opportunity
