Apple's Audio and Media Technologies group (AMT) is seeking an experienced software engineering lead to join our Streaming Media team. The Streaming Media team works on core technologies that power groundbreaking audio-visual experiences on Apples platforms (iPhones/iPads, Apple TV, Apple Watch, macOS, and Vision Pro). We are also the creators of the HTTP Live Streaming protocol, one of the most successful adaptive bitrate streaming solutions in the industry. You will take part in designing groundbreaking features and experiences for future OS releases and contribute to the advancement of video streaming technologies!

**Description**

As a Streaming Media Software Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for the following: Leading a versatile team of engineers developing exciting new features in the area of streaming media Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to ensure end to end bringup of new features Open up the boundaries on innovation, working on compelling designs at the very edge of whats technically possible Contribute to overall media systems design, performance analysis and optimizations

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Strong software development experience in C or Objective-C

+ Proficiency in multi-threaded development and synchronization primitives

+ Good understanding of media pipelines

+ Solid understanding of Operating Systems fundamentals

+ Exposures in debugging and solving software issues using system profiling, network analysis tools

+ BS/MS in CS/CE or equivalent with 5-10 years of experience

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs.
