Overview:

It is the responsibility of the Social Media and Marketing Specialist to coordinate all facets of Golden Nugget Las Vegas social media activity, and to support content creation for Golden Nugget Laughlin. Marketing Specialist role includes additional Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Advertising, and Special Events support. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Companys brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging and relevant content for Las Vegas and Laughlin properties to disseminate through existing and emerging social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Content creation to be via Company issued mobile devices and camera equipment.
  • Respond to guest comments, inquiries and reviews on all social media, social media content editor, and travel review platforms.
  • Have knowledge/understanding of social media-related technology and metrics/advertising and be able to guide these strategies for the property.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Office on brand-appropriate content, social media influencers, collaborations, and content calendar
  • Consistently seek out innovative tools and opportunities to promote the companys brand and retail message through social media and public relations programs.
  • Offer recommendations for influencer marketing partnerships and campaigns.
  • Coordinate Media Alert and Press Release distribution with PR agency
  • Assist with all proofreading all Retail jobs and Advertising
  • Consolidate and maintain all media coverage.
  • Solicit and coordinate media events, promotions, and fam trips.
  • Keep all media listings current.
  • Assist with property video and photo shoots.
  • Open and monitor creative jobs/requests for all collateral and media applications.
  • Perform the proper follow-up for each job including proofing and tracking to ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform website content updates, email re-blasts and competitive digital shops
  • Maintain relationships with on property executives and corporate marketing team
  • Assist with ensuring on-property advertising is current and in good condition.
  • Assist Special Events with tournaments, registration, and distribution as needed.


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Expert comfort level with social media platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and impeccable follow through.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent and articulate English.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Windows applications and job tracking software
  • Project management software experience is a plus.
  • Bachelors or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the casino/hotel/travel industry or ad agency.
  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
