About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Local Media Production to take on a pivotal leadership role in the management and oversight of day-to-day television broadcasts for individual teams. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for all production-related matters, ensuring that broadcasts meet the company's standards for quality and engagement. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including producers, directors, and on-air talent, to foster a creative and innovative approach to sports broadcasting. The VP will also be responsible for the recruitment and development of top-level production personnel, as well as maintaining strong relationships with agents and management to facilitate smooth negotiations. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in remote sports broadcasting, with at least 5 years' in a leadership or executive role, and a strong background in live television production, preferably within professional sports. The role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple teams and provide clear feedback. A deep knowledge of baseball and a passion for the sport are highly preferred. The VP will be expected to travel regularly and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in line with the baseball season. The position demands a proven track record of innovation and creativity in sports broadcasting, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to inspire a team toward achieving common production goals. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
