Title: Social Media Coordinator – Rainbow City Concert Band Position Type: Volunteer Reports to: Ensemble Manager – Rainbow City Concert Band JOB SUMMARY Maintains engagement and visibility for Reign City Riot’s social media presence through frequent posts and engagement on the band’s Instagram and Facebook pages. This includes writing posts, creating images, and collaborating on organizational campaigns. This helps the band remain visible and drives followers, gig requests, and supports fundraising and other organizational priorities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Creates impactful image posts with engaging and relevant text descriptions. Captures interactions with members and attendees for stories, reels, and other posts. Engages with followers by liking or commenting on posts and replies to messages at least five days per week to ensure consistency of engagement. Consistently tags pages and includes hashtags and slogans as coordinated with other staff. Posts supporting campaigns, fundraisers, and initiatives as directed by Marketing staff. Coordinates with members, staff, followers, and photographers to acquire photos. Follows Rainbow City Performing Arts and Reign City Riot brand guidelines and assists in updating visual branding including use of logo, filters, colors, text fonts, etc. Utilizes effective communication and interpersonal skills that align with and support the organization’s Mission and Core Values. Complies with the organization’s by-laws, policies, procedures, and member covenants; seeks clarification and guidance as necessary. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Experience in photo editing, text editing, and post creation. Photography and videography skills. Prefer experience operating social media for a brand, company, or ensemble. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION Be a current active member of Reign City Riot. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT Work involves using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The volunteer will often work in environments with high noise levels, typically ranging from 70 to 100 decibels, due to musical performances and rehearsals.
