Canvas Worldwide is seeking a Supervisor to join our Out of Home team working with Auto clients.
The Out of Home (OOH) Supervisor manages and oversees OOH initiatives including traditional, tra-digital/digital, digital placed based, experiential, event partnerships/event targeted, traditional embellishments (ex. extensions, props/builds, illumination, etc.) across the assigned clients with the support of direct reports.
Additionally, you will also support senior members and managers of the team on department or agency-wide initiatives, be responsible for hands on training with direct reports, ensuring a high-quality level of work and motivating the team to hit deadlines.
Key Duties/Responsibilities & Desired Knowledge Base:
- Function independently while maintaining a high quality of work
- Oversee and manage team including training direct reports to be self-sufficient
- Autonomously manage planning efforts, with support of the team, on strategic direction, RFPs, negotiations, evaluations, and presentations
- Develop and present strategically focused OOH plans/recommendations with sound rationale
- Expert understanding of media terms, concepts, and strategy (KPI, ROI, CPM, R/F)
- Familiarity with OOH industry partners: Geopath & OAAA
- In depth knowledge of OOH formats, vendors and markets (local, regional, national)
- Proficient in planning across a variety of OOH verticals:
- Required: traditional, tra-digital/digital, digital placed based
- Preferred: experiential, event partnerships/event targeted, traditional embellishments (ex. extensions, props/builds, illumination, etc.)
- Participate in strategy development and brainstorming meetings with ability to work Take a proactive approach to planning and problem solving/trouble shooting, anticipating potential challenges and seeking amicable solutions
- Compile and present POV's as needed; rooted in sound research and presented with strong supportive context/rationale that is client specific
- Stay current on new/ evolving trends with the media landscape (OOH and media overall)
- Attend Industry and client-related functions and networking events, when necessary, while simultaneously balancing workload/deadlines
- Remain solution oriented, seeking creative resolutions, through to fruition
- harmoniously with internal teams on projects from start to finish
- Ability to simultaneously multitask between multiple accounts and projects and prioritize accordingly based on deliverables under tight deadlines
- Ability to recognize appropriate new opportunities, need for 101's or other documents and motivate self/team to compile and present as needed
- Participate in/attend meetings/trainings and/or market rides as needed
- Innate curiosity with a desire to learn and grow as an OOH/Media professional
- Aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving
- Self-starter who approaches workload with a positive attitude
- Proactive (vs reactive) approach to projects/workload as well as overall management of the business and direct reports
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written & verbal)

- Drive projects from start to finish in a timely manner

- Prioritize and reprioritize "to-do list" accordingly to meet tight and/or changing deadlines while remaining positive
- Effectively and fairly delegate workload
- Synthesize large volumes of information quickly, with the ability to accurately and effectively communicate it out
- Advocate for OOH (internally, externally)
- Proficient in math
- Ability to interpret, analyze and synthesize media research
- Build, foster and maintain strong relationships (internal/external)
- Collaborative team player (can work independently & as part of a matrix structure)
- Receptive to feedback and able to apply moving forward
- Manage up/down appropriately
- Act as a role model to direct reports and junior staff within the agency
- Years of professional experience: 5+
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree is highly preferred but not required
- Experience buying and planning (not just one) OOH
- Experience training and/or managing multiple direct reports
- Fluent in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Prior employment at a media agency
$80,000 - $90,000 a year
Salary and Benefits
Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a "Do Good Day," and unlimited PTO.
In-Office Work Schedule
This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days in-office per week.
