JOB DESCRIPTION
MUSIC TEACHER

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
2. New Jersey Teacher of Music certification or eligibility.

REPORTS TO: Principal

SUPERVISOR: N/A

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Plan in written form and execute in practice a program of study that meets the individual needs, abilities, and interests of all students assigned.
2. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the student.
3. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and - in harmony wit the goals - establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
4. Strive to implement by instruction and action the District's philosophy of education n nd instructional goals and objectives.
5. Assist in the selection of books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
6. Establish and maintain cooperative relations with others.
7. Perform such tasks as assume such responsibilities as directed by the principal

SALARY: Salaried

EVALUATION: Performance of the position will be in accodance with the Board's Polocies & Procedueres on evaluation
