Senate Photographer
KeenLogic is seeking an experienced Photographer and Digital Media Specialist to join our team at the United States Senate, Sergeant at Arms (SAA), Office of Photographic Services. This role provides a wide range of professional photography, videography, and digital media services in support of Senators, Senate Committees, and SAA leadership.

The candidate will work closely with the Photographic Services Office team to ensure seamless integration of photography and videography to support the Senate's evolving communication strategies. Responsibilities include event coverage, official portraits, video production, and post-production editing to meet the Senate's high standards of communication. This is a fast-paced environment requiring quick turnarounds and exceptional customer service.

This is an onsite role Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm. Candidates must be willing to work additional hours if necessary. This is a full-time on-site position offering Fortune 500-level health benefits, PTO, 401k, Life Insurance, and monthly reimbursement for travel. The position starts as a year contract with the possibility to extend based on performance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in photography and digital media, with at least 2 years in a corporate or professional environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, and Photo Mechanic.
  • Knowledge of Sony camera systems.
  • Experience with batch imagery processing and metadata-driven ingestion techniques.
  • Ability to record, edit, and produce short-form videos for visual communication and social media purposes.
  • Proficiency in MAC and PC environments and Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with elected officials, senior staff, and non-technical users.
Description of Work/Specialized Duties
  • Provide professional photography services, including event coverage, official portraits, and other photographic needs.
  • Support video production efforts by creating short-form videos for communication and social media purposes.
  • Conduct post-production editing for photos and videos, including batch processing and metadata-driven ingestion.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of all photographic and video equipment, including multi-camera systems (Sony and Fuji).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and other customers to deliver high-quality services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong working relationships with Senate offices and support teams.
