Job Summary:

The L.A. LIVE Campus Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality photographs of various events, concerts, and sporting events held at Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater, and L.A. LIVE. The photographer will also lead promotional photo initiatives, perform photo editing, and manage the digital photo archive. The role will be crucial in visually documenting the excitement and energy of our events, and the photographs will be used for promotional purposes across various platforms.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for capturing high-quality photographs and videos of events, concerts, and sporting events at the arena, theater and L.A. LIVE, ensuring all photographs and video content are properly composed, well-lit, and visually appealing without supervision or direction.
  • Manage and execute the editing and retouching of photographs to enhance their quality and appeal using expertise in color correcting, contrast, tone mapping, white balance, and sharpening, using various editing software applications, including but not limited to Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of a comprehensive library of digital photograph selects through an internal archiving system. Educate, train, and promote system with internal teams to ensure success in regard to the use of digital asset management system across the organization. Develop SOP's and best practices for digital media library across departments. Develop content validation and metadata and curation processes. Coordinate the implementation of an overall digital asset management strategy, including all raw visual assets (photography, video footage from concerts, graphic assets, etc.) so that they are accessible for future use. Manage the search and purchase of any necessary additional footage, photos, music, or other media for use.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to provide relevant and engaging photographs for promotional purposes. Articulate ideas through active listening and pivoting to personalities and situations to help sell tickets and promote the venues and campus brand.
  • Responsible for the organization, management and creating the process for all internal and external photography requests for ticketed events, private events, artist and athlete appearance photos, marketing collateral, press conferences, concerts, family shows, sporting events, head shots, executive photos, artist git and backstage set up photos for all concerts. It will be crucial to navigate with tight deadlines and managing all client expectations.
  • Curate and oversee Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater art and photo framing projects for concourses and public areas. Upholding brand standards by selecting photographic composition and framing in these areas, scheduling maintenance of existing inventory, and staging a space for special events (e.g. Tours, concerts, mini museums/art displays, walk throughs, etc.).
  • Responsible for the setup and operation of photography equipment during events by adapting to various shooting environments and improvising with available resources.
  • Stay abreast of the latest camera gear, lighting equipment, advanced photography and editing techniques and software to skillfully enhance authenticity and polish visual content. Experiment with new equipment, techniques and trends to stay relevant in an ever-changing digital realm to expand your creative repertoire and offer cutting-edge photos to our fans.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS degree preferred).
  • Must have 2-4 years of professional photography experience, specializing in sports and entertainment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, and specifically Excel.
  • Proficiency in using professional photography equipment and software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing photography skills and experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to capture high-quality images in various lighting conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and maintain a comprehensive digital photo library.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external departments.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must stay current with the latest photography techniques and equipment to continuously improve skills.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while working in the arena and/or theater.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.

Pay Scale: $28.00- $33.00
