We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer 3 with the top leading multimedia and creative software company in the world.
As a Technical Writer for Adobe Firefly Services, your main goal is ensuring that our technical content meets our high standards of quality, accuracy, and approachability, and that it reflects our company's voice, tone and values.
Adobe Firefly Services encompasses our Generative AI APIs (e.g., Text2Image, GenExpand, Object Composite) as well as creative workflow APIs (e.g., Photoshop Remove Background, Lightroom AutoTone)
You will drive our documentation strategy, starting with the information architecture and extending to identifying the most crucial content. You will define documentation standards, process improvements and champion adoption. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and strategically aligned to meet the diverse needs of our developer community.
One of your primary responsibilities will be the review of a wide range of technical content created by product service engineering and technical teams. This includes but is not limited to API References, onboarding materials like Quick Starts, as well as Tutorials and Guides. You will also be responsible to partner to creative, edit and review Code Samples and Project Templates with product teams. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams and ensure that our documentation is optimized for search and discoverability, making it easy for our customers to find the information they need.
You will be responsible for the documentation release process and content update, ensuring that all changes are made in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will handle pull requests from the community, keeping our documentation up-to-date and accurate.
You will also have the opportunity to identify and operationalize documentation optimization areas using new technologies such as AI to help you scale. Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or above. Focus in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.
- 6-9 years' experience writing and editing developer documentation.
- Proven ability to lead documentation projects.
- Excellent developmental editing, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce quality documentation with aggressive deadlines.
- Proven ability to work well with people and on a team.
- Experience writing for an international audience.
- Proven ability to multitask with multiple features, technologies, products Technical expertise with multiple products or domains, HTML, and DITA open source.
- Proven ability to work with emerging technologies Experience or familiarity with authoring systems like Adobe Technical Communication Suite, oXygen, XMetaL, etc.
- Love for writing and proofreading technical content, with high attention to details and resolve to produce high-quality work
- Proficient in both spoken and written English
- Experienced at detailing APIs and Web technologies, showing familiarity with modern content guidelines, documentation release processes and management tools
- Experience with HTML/CSS/Markdown language and git repositories
- Basic understanding of JavaScript and Web concepts, and able to test small snippets of code.
Compensation:
- Up to $53.52 per hour.
