We are looking for a passionate and experienced Staff UX Researcher to work on our team and collaborate with partners across Product, Data, Voice of the Customer/CX, and more. As a Staff UX Researcher at Tinder, you will lead large-scale, complex research initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality research insights that drive strategic product decisions, inform our product roadmap, and help us design and develop products that enhance the user experience.
What You'll Do: Drive and execute large-scale, complex UX Research projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Design and conduct innovative qualitative and quantitative studies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, ethnographic studies, and advanced data analysis.
Translate complex research data into clear, actionable insights that inform product strategy, design decisions, and user experience improvements.
Bring user insights to life to communicate research findings using storytelling techniques including video, data visualization, personas, journey maps, and more.
Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify research needs and align research objectives with business goals.
Champion user-centered design principles and ensure the voice of the user is consistently represented in all stages of product development.
Closely collaborate with the Voice of the Customer (VoC) team to integrate customer feedback and insights into research findings, ensuring a holistic understanding of user needs and pain points.
Communicate VoC effectively to all levels of the organization.
Communicate, influence and drive decision-making with executive stakeholders via storytellingProvide mentorship and guidance to junior researchers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and excellence.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
7+ years of hands-on experience in UX Research within a product organization, with a proven track record of leading impactful research projects and driving product success.
Expertise in a wide range of research mix-methodologies and tools, including advanced qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Demonstrated experience in an agile development environment and a deep understanding of product design processes.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
$ 180000- $200000 a year
The salary range for this position is $180,000 - 200,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in San Francisco. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
