The Prime Video Live Operations team is seeking a Program Manager who will be a leader on a high-performing team that is building out scalable launch mechanisms to support the exponential growth of the live business. Key job responsibilities
This Program Manager will identify, track, and drive to completion the workstreams needed across multiple teams to launch a live property (i.e. Thursday Night Football, English Premier League, MLB.TV, etc.) on Prime Video.
This person will dive deep into the details of each live property to ensure the event operations team has the information they need to monitor every event, handle any disruptions, and mitigate any issues.
This individual contributor must be a leader who can influence teams to deliver a successful launch on time. This person should also be able to clearly articulate status to Executive Leadership in Amazon.
A day in the life
This Program Manager will be part of the Live Operations team that is responsible for the live infrastructure and operations for live events. The Program Manager will lead and drive the technical on-boarding for live properties, event readiness ahead of each launch, and strategic initiatives key to scaling the live business. The Program Manager needs to be driven and passionate to launch a live event or a live channel. This person shouldn't be afraid to define processes where none exist. The Program Manager needs to be able to work through multiple parallel work streams while influencing tech & product teams and clearly articulating status ahead of a successful launch.
About the team
The primary goal of Live Operations is to deliver a stellar streaming experience across all live events and live linear channels to Prime Video customers worldwide. Customers should expect to view all live content at the highest resolution their bandwidth allows, supported by a white-glove service to resolve any technical issues. We play a critical role in enabling Prime Video to become THE global entertainment destination.
The Live Operations Program Management team supports this mission by ensuring every live property is on-boarded successfully to our systems while providing internal and external operations stakeholders every detail they need to successfully monitor the event.
This Program Manager role is based in Seattle.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in program or project management, including defining and executing against program requirements
- 3+ years experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience and understanding of digital video streaming and/or digital video supply chain
- Experience with managing projects for live broadcasting
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements, implement repeatable processes and drive automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $154,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
