Boot Hill Casino & Resort is hiring a Sportsbook Ticket Writer! The Ticket Writer is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while processing all sports wagering transactions at the retail Sportsbook window. Other essential job duties include, but are not limited to, developing and building relationships with guests, servicing and monitoring betting kiosks, and maintaining the working area of the Sportsbook.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
Safeguard company assets within the Sportsbook.
Accurately issue, collect, process and redeem sports wagering tickets, sports wagering vouchers, and/or sports wagering promotional credits for patrons in the Sportsbook in accordance with the internal controls, house rules, and gaming regulations and statutes.
Receive cash, cash equivalents, electronic bank transfers of money, including transfers through third parties, bank and wire transfers of money, debit and credit cards, online and mobile application payment transfers sports wagering promotional credits, and any other payment method approved by the Executive Director from a patron in order to place a sports wager.
Responsible for balancing an imprest bank for assigned shift.
Follow proper cash-handling techniques.
Provide excellent customer service, including the ability to explain, educate and assist customers with sports wagering rules, including betting lines and odds at the ticket windows and kiosks.
Assist patrons with the use of the sports wagering kiosks.
Monitor and communicate patron betting behavior.
Comply with patron identification verification requirements.
Stock sportsbook stations with adequate supplies and keep all stations neat and clean.
Enroll patrons into approved sports promotional contests, tournaments, or promotional activities.
Promote the interactive sports wagering platform and the Players Club membership enrollments.
Create and enter play tracking information.
Assist with the safety and security of all employees and guests.
Adhere to the Internal Control System, State Gaming Regulations and Statutes, Title 31, Responsible Gambling Plan, and the Voluntary Exclusion Program.
Must have a strong knowledge of the Internal Control System and Kansas Administrative Regulations.
Must have a strong knowledge of sports wagering, house rules, sports wagering kiosks, interactive sports wagering platforms, and marketing promotions and events.
Other duties as assigned.
