We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer/Report Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MS SQL, Pentaho, data warehousing, and logistics. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and creating insightful reports to support business operations and decision-making.

We are seeking a skilled ETL Developer/Report Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with MS SQL, Pentaho, data warehousing, and logistics. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes and creating insightful reports to support business operations and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- ETL Development:

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Pentaho.
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL process.
- Report Writing:

- Develop and maintain reports using MS SQL and other reporting tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Data Warehousing:

- Design and implement data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure scalability.
- Logistics Support:

- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop reports and dashboards to support logistics operations and decision-making.
- Collaboration:

- Work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on data tools and reports.

- Proven experience as an ETL Developer/Report Writer.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Experience with other ETL tools and reporting platforms.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar industry in a DBA, reporting, or BI position
- Strong working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM), salesforce automation (SFA), Business Intelligence and the concepts of Data Warehouses and Data Cubes
- Strong knowledge of working within Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, SSRS, Power BI, Pentaho, and Crystal Reports.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, WMS and Accounting concepts required
- Prior experience working in or consulting in the distribution, logistics or transportation industry
- Prior experience with implementing technology solutions
- Prior experience interacting between the business operations and technology operations
- Strong interpersonal, problem management, and time management skills
- Excellent business acumen, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer networking and relationship building skills
- Experience with process design, documentation, and assessment
- Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices, and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications
- Ability to rapidly learn new software applications and functionality
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven experience in working remote and interacting with team members through web conferencing
- Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or other related field preferred or 5 years of practical experience in such a field
