OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE ROLE:
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and corporations.
Perform tax research and provide clients with strategies for tax optimization.
Assist in tax planning for clients, including advising on financial impacts and compliance requirements.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Respond to IRS and state agency inquiries on behalf of clients.
Mentor and guide junior associates, providing training and support as needed.
Work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and provide customized solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA license or eligibility strongly preferred.
3+ years of experience in tax preparation and review within a public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Excellent interpersonal skills and client-focused mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
