CFS is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with experience in tax preparation, payroll tax returns, and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client engagements across these areas, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, accurate payroll administration, and timely bookkeeping support.

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist with tax preparation and compliance, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns
Conduct audits and reviews of financial records
Perform general ledger accounting tasks, such as journal entries and account reconciliations
Research and analyze financial data
Assist with client interactions and communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred
2+ years of experience in public accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP and tax principles
Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks
