Senior Accounting Consultant
Schedule:
4 days per week. Option to work 9am - 5:30pm daily or work four 10 hour days.
Responsibilities:
Senior Accounting Consultant will be closing the year (FYE 9/30) including taking balance sheet items and reconciling
Senior Accounting Consultant will complete account reconciliations
Senior Accounting Consultant will be reviewing general ledger activity, fixed assets, etc.
Senior Accounting Consultant will recommend the journal entries that are needed
Senior Accounting Consultant will make sure lead schedule is tied down for the trial balance (will be handed charts of accounts and balance sheet, this person should be able to look at the balance sheet and the footnotes, and see that things are pretty straightforward)
Senior Accounting Consultant will assist with audit prep and fixed assets schedules
Ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested by Controller and Senior Accounting Manager
Requirements:
Previous Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level experience - someone who has been through audits and understands what is needed, can shift their way through the balance sheet
Previous public accounting audit or experience with year-end close and audit experience
Previous experience utilizing Microsoft Dynamics SL is helpful but NOT required, must be able to quickly learn a new system
Previous nonprofit accounting experience is a plus but NOT required
Should have previous financial statement prep experience and know one's way around the ledgers
Excel - Must be able to set up tables, use simple formulas, etc. (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and/or macros are a plus
Personality Fit:
Must be willing to roll up one's sleeves and be hands on in assisting with audit preparation
