The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is essential to maintaining the financial health and transparency of our client's organization, where you will have a voice and truly own the accounting process.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and tax requirements.
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Manage and mentor accounting staff, ensuring professional growth and development.
Conduct financial analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
5+ years of experience in accounting
Strong knowledge of healthcare accounting, regulations, and tax laws.
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks- Desktop)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
