This position will play a crucial role in overseeing all accounting functions for their Grand Rapids location, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's continued success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly in manufacturing or related industries, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Controller Responsibilities:
Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and job costing activities
Lead month-end close
Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports
Ensure compliance with accounting standards
Utilize moderate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with various individuals across the organization
Support opportunities for growth across multiple business units
Controller Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles
Experience in manufacturing or related industries
Familiarity with ASPE accounting standards (preferred)
Strong understanding of job costing principles (huge plus)
Independent, motivated, and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Controller Compensation:
$95,000 plus bonus
