Job purpose

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for working closely with subject matter experts, product owners, creatives and other key stakeholders to translate insights into action. This role is critical to contributing to impactful marketing strategies with key team members and bringing those strategies to life through highly engaging creative social content with proven results.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and manage effective social media campaigns for identified audiences; act as the day-to-day program lead on social strategy-heavy projects.
  • Plan and implement social media campaigns, focused on engagement growth with our audiences - whether it’s members, sponsors, partners or other identified stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external creative and content specialists as needed to build, develop, monitor and deliver results-driven social media campaigns.
  • Utilize data and analytics and perform research that will inform smart social strategies and contribute to measurement frameworks that measure their efficiency.
  • Monitor and Report on social media campaign results.
  • Understand and apply audience demographics and behaviors to social media campaigns.
  • Understand and synthesize complex subject matter in order to translate technical content into optimal social media content.
  • Research sponsor, partner and/or competitor social media strategies to integrate key components into social media campaigns.
  • Own direct relationships with key social platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Stay up to date on platform changes, new offerings, best practices, and consistently recognize opportunities to improve marketing efforts via social media platforms.
  • Create, facilitate and/or curate all, high-quality social media content utilizing individual skills, skills of marketing, communications, creative and/or digital media team members, and/or content from internal or external sources.
  • Position CHIME via social media as the Digital Health thought leader in the health care industry.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience planning, developing, implementing and analyzing results of social media campaigns, programs and content.
  • Proven success in social media management role with accountability to goals, metrics, deadlines, KPI (project, account, people, budget).
  • Experience with and an understanding of consumer tech and/or enterprise technology space, including sector trends and audience decision-making needs, is a bonus.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube; substantial knowledge of Facebook and Instagram; some knowledge of Pinterest, TikTok and additional emerging social engagement platforms.
  • Experience utilizing research and analytics to develop social media campaign strategy and/or content strategy based on insights. Experience finding the meaning in data and presenting/proving data-driven strategy.
  • Strong ability to facilitate discussion and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders using a consultative approach.
  • Strong oral and written communications - you can articulate ideas well and present smart strategies with clarity.
  • Attention to detail with strong project management and prioritization skills; ability to manage ad-hoc requests in tandem with ongoing projects using project management principles.

Working conditions

This is a remote based position. Some travel will be required.
